Maureen Denise McCormick is the younger daughter of Richard McCormick. Her birth date was August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills California. Her father taught in the school system and her mother was a stay-at-home mother. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick was a gifted artist and singer from the age of 6. Her passion was to put on shows with puppets for the neighbors. She won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest at age 6 and was then contacted via Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the business of show production. Her first major role came during 1964, where she was featured in a TV commercial for Mattels baby doll, Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred as Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for The Wind It Up and It's Breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was selected out of a crowd of over 1200 children who auditioned for the role of the oldest of three towheaded daughters on the brand new TV comedy The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. The show lasted five seasons. McCormick wrote in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she nearly lost her virginity during the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and on-screen brother. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that in the fifth season of the show, she nearly lost her virginity to Barry Williams. The incident would have happened as she describes. But, the time for our relationship was not the right one.
