Anita Barone
A stage actress that is versatile and was mostly confined to show-biz sitcoms TV, Anita Barone received her greatest chance in the medium as spouse to Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which ran one season on ABC from 1995-96. Barone began her appearance on stage when she was five in Detroit in the city where she raised following the move of her family away from St Louis. When she was 23, she had appeared in over 50 plays, mostly in university production as well as regional theatres. She was Juliet as the twisted young nun in "Agnes of God,"" Helen Keller, the leading character of "Monday After the Miracle"" and Juliet again on screen in "Romeo as well as Juliet." Her debut on screen came in the form of a small part in "The Rozary Murders", a cameo in "Ricochet" along with she played the lead role in the indie romantic comedy "Just Friends", in 1996. Barone was recruited by NBC between 1990 and 1991 as a stockholder in "Carol and Company" which was the failed effort to Carol Burnett at reviving the sketch comedy/variety show. Barone also appeared in the USA Network movie "Wounded Heart" in 1995. She then returned to her daily sitcoms, appearing with Michael Chiklis in "Daddio" (NBC, 2000).
